OZARK INTERNATIONAL RACEWAY SOLD TO NEAL CHANCE RACING FAMILY
Rogersville, MO, January 3, 2009 -- Ozark International Raceway gained a group of new owners this week. The Chance Family, Neal, Mitch and Marty Chance, have announced the purchase of the local landmark from it's current owner, Wes Phifer. The Track will be renamed Ozark Raceway Park under the new ownership.
Located in Rogersville, MO. -- roughly 15 minutes from Springfield, and 34miles from Branson -- Ozark Raceway Park is a 1/8th mile Dragstrip sitting on156 acres of beautiful Ozark Countryside. The racetrack has a busy schedule with events running form March to October including the famous annual "Street Machine Nationals" that draws thousands of racers and spectators to the area.
Neal and Marty who both live in the Wichita, KS area, and Mitch Chance of Springfield, are all excited about the possibilities the track has and are committed to opening on schedule this year. They are all anxious to start making improvements to the track as soon as... [Read More]

Zap Top Qualifies
I am happy with the result, and picking up the ANDRA Top Doorslammer National Speed Record was a bonus.
John Zappia Zap top qualified in his Striker Monaro Top Doorslammer on the third qualifier with a 5.987et @ 240.00mph, after running a 6.057et @246.84mph, and a 6.012et @ 247.66mph in earlier sessions.
"The car ran well" said Zap after the racing, "The track was super sticky and we had trouble getting off the line as fast as we normally do. I am happy with the result, and picking up the ANDRA Top Doorslammer National Speed Record was a bonus. We are looking forward to tomorrows racing".

Zappia on fire!
Our low five second tune is safe, and that is something for most of my other twelve competitors this weekend to really worry about.
John Zappia rocked up at Willowbank International Raceway, Queensland this week from Perth, ahead of the ENZED International Nightfire New Year Series weekend on fire and ready to win. This event is Round Three of the 2008/2009 ANDRA Top Doorslammer Championship, a seven round series raced across this huge nation of Australia.

ADRL Gala Honors 2008 Champions
Glidden named Driver of the Year; Taylor wins Jim Oddy Award
Whiteland, Indiana’s Billy Glidden picked up two awards at the ADRL Gala after winning the 2008 Extreme 10.5 championship and being named the series’ Driver of the Year. “To get a ring and then to receive the award we got in a room full of people like this; it’s pretty awesome,” Glidden said.

After a great season of bringing "the Show" to a variety of tracks up and down the eastcoast which consisted of Kinston Dragway, Sumerduck Dragway, Virginia Motorsports Park, Richmond Dragway, Roxboro Dragway, and Maryland International Raceway.
